2025 was a year of many movie hits. The movies ranged from the very popular Zootopia 2, which packed movie theaters all across the country, to Elio, a still high-grossing Disney movie about finding yourself. Some other popular movies in 2025 were Avatar: Fire and Ash, Marty Supreme, and One Battle After Another. All of these are still in theaters as the income increases. Zootopia 2’s worldwide gross is $1.74 billion, and Avatar is close to that at $1.38 billion. The least of these is Elio, with still a high total of $154 million. Although 2026 just began, there have already been some high-grossing releases. Christy, being the one with the highest box office, starts at $1.3 billion. Some movies to anticipate coming in 2026 are Avengers: Doomsday, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Moana (live-action), and Toy Story 5. The most upcoming one is this week, Melania Trump’s documentary “Melania” on January 30th.
