NCS Sports is hot right now as soccer is starting off strong, which is led by coach Nick Chetta. They are ranked 38th in the state and 2nd in their division and district, remaining undefeated in district play with their next big game being against Newman on January 27th @7pm and Episcopal at home on January 29th @7pm. Girls’ basketball, led by coach Alicia Stickles are doing well with senior Ava Dale breaking 1,000 points this season, leading her team as a captain. The Girls remain undefeated in district play, beating Pope and STA, with their next game being at St. Dominican’s on January 28th, @6pm. The boys’ basketball is starting strong with their record being 13-5, being led by their new coach, Justin Posey. Senior Nathan Posey is a strong leader for this team, but since he has been injured, Nathan Jones has shown his athleticism on the court along with Eli Yarborough and Judah Gray. Their tough loss against STA put them down in the district, but they hope to bounce back with their next district game being against Independence on January 30th @7:30pm.
