The English Tea Room

The English Tea Room on Rutland Street is a British themed tea room that is amazing to have small get togethers.  The Tea Room has multiple rooms, with some having a more natural light to them and others having a more quiet and private feeling. I had my Sweet 16 get together there and it was a memorable time.  We ate cheese, scones with our tea, little cakes, and finger sandwiches.  It was not only pleasant but very filling and after we took pictures in the authentic British telephone box they had outside.  The staff is so kind and respectful, always helping you with anything you need. They have an abundance of different teas, which you can get multiple in one sitting with no extra price.  I recommend getting a Cheese Platter which has a nice variation of different cheeses with the addition of a few nuts and fruits.  In a group, whether big or small, I recommend getting the Prince William High Tea.  It comes with a cup of the soup of the day, selection of six English finger sandwiches, six assorted mini-savories, fresh fruit garnish, two mini-desserts, two chocolate-dipped strawberries, fruit & cheese plate, and two fresh-baked scones served with house-made clotted cream, house-made lemon curd or imported preserves.  You can dress as if you are going to a picnic or light wear.  It is also the perfect place to have a graduation party, baby shower, and even a Quinceañera or Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
