The Wolverines took on rival Hannan Hawks to kick off the season opener. They defeated the Hawks 49-7. Junior running back, Kam Casnave had a great performance scoring on his very first touch. Senior quarterback Luke Leblanc had a phenomenal game including a rushing touchdown and three passing touchdowns. The Wolverine run game continues to dominate allowing Casnave to do his thing. “I just want to give huge props to the offensive line,” said Casnave. “The offensive line did an amazing job opening up the lanes for me. I’m looking for the whole team to grow and get all of their assignments right and make a huge playoff run.” Junior Cornerback Charlie Gilmore had a whopping three interceptions on the Hawks. He is destined for a big season. Kicker Aiden Reily had some impressive kicks considering the weather. The Wolverines are looking to make a deep playoff run this year.
