On January 2, 2023, a Buffalo Bills player, named Damar Hamlin, collapsed after tackling Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins during the first quarter of the Monday night football game. The game was put on hold for over an hour until finally it was announced that the game was suspended.  Fans all around went to social media to document what was going on.  It is said now that the athletic trainer that rushed to the field and gave life saving measures did indeed save Hamlin’s life.  When Hamlin first woke up he communicated by writing out phrases.  The first thing he asked the doctors is “Who won the game?”  The doctors told him that “he did win, he won the game of life”.  Damar is now breathing on his own and communicating with his family. Damar has been released from the hospital and is heading back to buffalo. Damar Hamlin’s gofundme is now up to $8 million dollars.
