Eclair Cake for the Holidays

Mia Russano, Staff Reporter

Eclair Cake comes from the delicious dessert Eclairs, which is, a doughnut-like snack filled with white cream. That being said, the cake kind is so much better! Every holiday my family celebrates together and my cousin Sophie is sure to bring the cake that everyone loves.

How do you make it, you ask? It is actually simple! You do not even need the oven! Just follow these instructions.

First, gather your ingredients:

2 (3.5) packages of instant vanilla pudding mix
1 ( 8 ounces) container of frozen whipped topping that has been thawed
3 cups of milk
1 ( 16ounce) package of graham crackers squares
1 bottle of Hershey’s syrup (for the topping)

Now, we begin to make the cake.
Step1: Stir pudding mix and milk together in a medium bowl until well blended.
Step 2: Stir in the cool whip to the mixture.
Step 3: Put a layer of graham crackers along the bottom of the pan.
Step 4: Put half of the mixture you made on top of the graham crackers.
Step 5: Repeat steps3 & 4.
Step 6: Put the Hershey’s syrup on top of the cake and you can make the swirl design by taking a toothpick and doing figure 8 all around the cake.

The last step is to let the cake sit in the fridge for three hours because this way the graham crackers will get soft.

Now you have your Eclair Cake! Enjoy this for your future holidays with your family and friends.
