- What are you most excited about being president next year?
I am most excited about planning new ideas and watching our class enjoy the last part of highschool together. But most importantly, I am so excited to use my leadership skills and personality to impact those around me. I know God’s going to use me in a way to bless the school and I’m really looking forward to it.
- For a reminder for the rest of the school body, what are you planning on doing for next year?
Next year, there are a lot of things that I can’t say quite yet because it’s a surprise! But, one thing is the grade level wars that we are doing instead of intramurals. Being able to compete with peers in your grade against other grades will be a better way to create unity with those in our class. Also, another one is how on the 26th of every month next year the senior class gets to have free dress since we graduate in 2026. Having panels in Chapel and making it more student interactive.
- Why did you choose these things to change about the school year?
Like I said in number 1, I want the best memories and best year for my class and peers entering into their senior year. So I did these two for sure so that we can bring more unity and fun for our last year together.
- How is the Lord using your gifts as assets to lead our school next year?
The Lord is using my gifts as assets to lead the school next year through my faithfulness, boldness, leadership, and willingness to obey Him and do what He asks of me. I carry the joy of the Lord with me and I hope that I can use that part of me to help brighten other people’s day.
- Do you think our school will grow stronger within the next year?
I really really do believe the school is going to grow stronger within the next year. At the junior retreat on Thursday night, I felt the Lord was going to move and do great things next year with our grade and move in people’s lives who need Him most. There have been many times I’ve heard people say that the Lord is going to do some powerful things in 2025 and the next school year and I really think we’re going to be a spirit led school.
- Do you believe the Lord equipped you for this role?
Yes, I do believe the Lord equipped me for this role. I had so much doubt in myself and didn’t think I’d be good enough for this role. But I began to realize the gifts He blessed me with and how this is exactly something He has called me to do. And I really am most excited about using my gifts He gave me to lead our school!
- Do you feel confident in the rest of the Leadership Council? Why?
YES!!! I love all nine of my peeps! They all care so much for me and listen to me and always want to help me. There hasn’t been one time yet that someone has given me a hard time. I can just tell we are all going to get along so well and all of our different personalities are going to be perfect and just what we need to have to get the jobs done.
- What would you like to be remembered for as class president?
I would love to be remembered as the girl who made highschool the best! Coming up with new ideas, making so many memories, having fun and spiritually growing everyone. Also having things organized and staying loyal and getting the tasks done.
- Do you think our school body will grow more spiritually over the next year?
OH 100%! We have such great bold leaders stepping up next year and I know we will make such a difference. Because we are the oldest next year, we have to be the big dawgs and not be afraid but stand out.
- How can others pray for you as you go into next year?
Prayer is going to be the most important thing for me for sure. Just asking the Lord for comfort, peace, patience, love and understanding as I step into this new role. Asking for God to reassure me and make me the best friend I can be to my peers and friends.
