January 1st, a terrorist drove his car down Bourbon Street, and through a crowd of people on New Years Day. Fourteen people were killed and dozens were hurt. As the car drove past, the news said there was a black Isis flag flying from the truck’s rear bumper. The investigation called this terrorism. They identified the man as a 42 year old U.S. citizen from Texas. FBI determined hours before the attack, Jabar posted videos on social media, specifying he was inspired by ISIS, conveying his desire to kill. Jabar, the man who committed the crime, rented the truck he used to commit the crime with. The FBI originally thought this man was helping out with the attack, but later they realized, no one else was involved. Jabar gets around a car, barriers, and officers, with his truck and takes off with full speed down the street for quite some time. Before Jabar commits the crime in his truck, he places bombs with nails in an ice chest, a few hours before for what he hoped would explode as he got closer to them, but it never happened. He hit equipment and crashed his truck way earlier than expected. Police shot at him, and he was declared dead in New Orleans. After this scene happened, Bourbon Street was announced closed for safety as they were monitoring the area for other bombs or harmful things.
