The former LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy, was accused of causing a hit and run that killed a 78-year old man on December 17, 2024. He then flees the scene without aiding or calling authorities, later he turns himself in to the authorities Sunday January 5, 2025. He was jailed and then released on $151,000 bail, according to police records. Lacy was charged with negligent homicide, felony hit -and- run with death and reckless operation of a vehicle. A warrant was issued for Lacy’s arrest, and police on Friday said they had been in contact with Lacy and his attorney to turn himself in. According to police reports, Lacy was recklessly passing other vehicles illegally at high speeds on Louisiana Highway 20. The other driver that was in the head on collision later died of his injuries while in the hospital.
