In America, everyone is discussing the ban of the multi-billionaire app, TikTok. According to a website called Axios, “The law stems from the U.S. government’s concerns for national security over its ties to China, including the spread of misinformation and espionage.” Due to this, the United States has decided to ban the app. Although this has happened in the past, the idea was never followed through. Now the set date for the ban is Sunday, January 19, 2025. Shark Tank star Kevin O’Leary had planned on buying tiktok, a company worth more than 84 billion dollars, but this solution is still in the air. Joe Biden had signed this law to ban tiktok, unfortunately, but many people are diligently working to stop this.
