In the student newsletter sent to students by Mr. McCune states the following guidelines for the Homecoming dress code.
Girls
- Dress for a semi-formal/formal occasion.
- Dresses must be a LONG DRESS, from tee-length to floor-length ONLY. No short dresses will be permitted this year.
- Slits in dresses must be modest and NO MORE THAN one hand length between your knee and the top of the slit.
- No low cut dresses (No cleavage showing in front. Strapless dresses are acceptable.)
- The back of the dress should be no lower than the waist line, with no low or open sides.
- No tight fitting or revealing material, including flesh-toned mesh or see-through material.
- Dresses for NCS students do NOT have to be preapproved; however, students will not be allowed to enter the event if the dress does not meet the above-mentioned guidelines. We are giving you the responsibility of choosing attire that meets the guidelines. Please do not put us in a position of denying entrance to the event because of a failure on your part.
- Students in tennis shoes or other casual shoes (such as flip-flops) will not be allowed to attend.
- OUT OF SCHOOL GUESTS’ attire must be pre-approved by the appropriate administrator.
- Students will not be allowed to enter the event if the dress does not meet the above-mentioned guidelines.
- Boys

- Dress for a semi-formal/formal occasion, including a jacket and tie. We are giving you the responsibility of
choosing attire that meets the guidelines. Please do not put us in a position of denying entrance to the event because of a failure on your part.
- Shirts must remain on, buttoned, and tucked in throughout the event.
- Students in tennis shoes or other casual shoes or no belt will be denied entrance.
- DANCING
- No suggestive dancing. Unacceptable styles include grinding, girl’s back to the boy’s frontside, and inappropriate space between the boy and girl when face to face:
- Any behavior considered to be inappropriate by the Administration.
- Students that have been warned will be asked to leave the dance upon contacting their parents if a second offense occurs.
OUT OF SCHOOL GUEST AND PASSES
- Guest forms may be picked up in the Secondary office.
- Must be turned in by the MONDAY BEFORE THE DANCE. Guidelines must be signed by the guest and his/her parents and be turned in to the Dean of Students IN PERSON for a brief interview.
- Guests must adhere to the dress code of NCS including hair and piercings.
- Guests must arrive with an NCS student or he/she will not be allowed to enter.
- No one who was previously asked to leave NCS or denied re-registration may attend.
