Northlake’s fall sports season began with an exciting volleyball game against Hahnville. The defending state champions faced off against Hahnville at home on Wednesday, September 4th, with the JV game starting at 5 pm and the varsity match following at 6 pm. The volleyball team used this game to showcase exactly why they had won the state championship. Abby Bailey, one of the team’s captains, returned for another season, continuing her leadership and aiming to guide her squad to a second state title.

Friday Night Lights will start on Friday, September 6th, with a home game against Hannan at 7 p.m. in Wolverine Stadium. This long-standing rivalry promised to give the team some serious bragging rights for the upcoming season. Fans are encouraged to come dressed entirely in black for the blackout theme of the game. Food trucks and tailgating will kick off at 6 pm, setting the stage for an incredible season and giving everyone a glimpse of what NCS football is all about.
