The Olympic gold medalist Simon Biles has placed in several different Olympics since the age of 19. She has a total of 11 medals, 7 of them being gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze. Just in the Paris Olympics she received 4 medals. Her journey started during a daycare field trip at 6 years old when the instructor suggested that she continued with the sport. She soon enrolled at the program Bannon’s Gymnastics where her career started successfully. Biles competed in her third Olympics this year in Paris, previously competing in the Rio Games in 2016 and Tokyo Games in 2020. She was married on April 22, 2023 to her husband Jonathan Owens who is an NFL player with the Chicago Bears. He made an appearance at the Paris Olympics to watch her compete and place in many of her routines. A reporter asked Biles if she plans on retiring and not competing in 2028 and her response was “never say never”.
