Over 38 million people are covered in a National alert for flash flooding in California. Around 250,000 homes and businesses are without power as the rain continues for the next couple of days. Santa Barbara and Ventura counties are part of a mandatory evacuation. Over 7 inches of rain fell down in Los Angeles and outlying areas saw around 11 inches. This is a slow moving system and will stay around till Wednesday (2/7). Los Angeles has received over 120 mudslides and massive amounts of debris that is floating around the city. Right outside the city in Long Beach the freeway 405 is reporting over a foot of water on the freeway making it impossible for cars to drive on. California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency on Sunday night for the following counties: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura.
