On January 28, 2024 the Activists group Riposte Alimentaire, or Food Response Group, showed up to the Louvre Museum in Paris where they splashed the famous Mona Lisa painting with pumpkin soup. This seems to be an extremely immature action to bring attention to their organization, but this plan has seemed to backfire. The group was mocked relentlessly online for their obvious and desperate attempt at attention. Thankfully the Mona Lisa was not damaged due to it being in a bullet proof glass case. This goes to show that not all press is good press.
