The Northlake Wolverines 2023-2024 volleyball season is off to an undefeated start with senior captain Abigail Drury having accomplished 1,000 assists for the Northlake Christian Wolverines. Drury has been a huge impact to the volleyball team since the eighth grade. She is great to the ball, has great court vision and plays with passion. With her outside hitter Abby Bailey helping her tremendously with her milestone of 1,000 assists, she too is close with only 30 kills from her 1,000 kill milestone. These two players go hand in hand, they love to be with each other and love each other. Abigail was interviewed by Nola News the night of the big accomplishment, she said that “I’ve learned how to motivate everyone on the team,” Drury said. “It depends on a lot of things — the mood that they’re in or how much they can take if I yell at them. It all depends on which player it is. I can build them up in all kinds of ways. I joke around with Abby (Bailey). I can be harsher with Evie (Burns). And sweet to other people” (Nola News).
