As the new school year and the new building has been established, there have been many changes to our school. Obviously the new highschool building is an exciting thing, but there are some things that are smaller that have a bigger impact on the school. There has been a huge change to our lives at Northlake Christian School, missing homework! These new rules of academic overtime will shape all of us into students who will not miss their homework assignments and keep our grades up. Although right now it seems harsh and a lot of us think it’s extra pressure on us, our grades will increase and we will all be surprised how much our grades change due to our homework. Speaking of this, if you did not know our school has created ‘Academic Overtime’. ‘Academic Overtime’ is when you miss a homework assignment on turn- in day, you will then stay after school 30 minutes and complete the homework. Yes it’s a lot, although the school has done it to help us stay on task and keep our grades up.
